Primitive bosonic operators#

Primitive operators accept either a flat mode index or degree-of-freedom coordinates. Each instance exposes indices, mode, modes, dag, and string.

Annihilation#

class edinpy.boson.Annihilation(indices, modes)[source]#

Bosonic annihilation operator \(b_i\).

Parameters:
  • indices (int or iterable of int) – Flat mode index or degree-of-freedom coordinates resolved by modes.

  • modes (BosonModes) – Ordered mode specification on which the operator acts.

property dag#

Hermitian adjoint of the expression.

Type:

Operator

Creation#

class edinpy.boson.Creation(indices, modes)[source]#

Bosonic creation operator \(b_i^\dagger\).

Parameters:
  • indices (int or iterable of int) – Flat mode index or degree-of-freedom coordinates resolved by modes.

  • modes (BosonModes) – Ordered mode specification on which the operator acts.

property dag#

Hermitian adjoint of the expression.

Type:

Operator

Number#

class edinpy.boson.Number(indices, modes)[source]#

Bosonic number operator \(n_i=b_i^\dagger b_i\).

Parameters:
  • indices (int or iterable of int) – Flat mode index or degree-of-freedom coordinates resolved by modes.

  • modes (BosonModes) – Ordered mode specification on which the operator acts.

property dag#

Hermitian adjoint of the expression.
